We offer various levels of vehicle health checks listed below:

Basic Health Checks

This is a visual based check completed in approx 30 mins which coves the basics such as:

• Brake condition 
• Suspension condition
• Engine and gear box conditions
• Fluid leaks 
• Tyres 
• Lights and basic electrics
• General vehicle condition
• Road test

This list is an indication of points covered, not extensive and will vary from model to model, we would generally cover all of the multichecks we offer with our servicing program. 

This type of health check costs £40 inc vat 

Advanced Health Checks 

Within the advanced check we complete all of the basic health checks visually, taking more time to assess things for wear such as the suspension components, a more thorough check of things like the engine and gear box although still from a visual perspective. We then check the systems for diagnostic faults, and complete a road test along with a data logging session for our technicians to look at which helps identify any potential issues and to ensure the vehicle is running as expected.  

This type of health check is £75 inc vat and will last approx 45 mins 

Specialist Health Checks

On certain vehicles, a more indepth check may be preferred. This mainly applies to higher performance vehicles such as the 1.4, 1.8 and 2.0 TFSI and TSI models, found in the Golfs, A3 and S3, TT, Leon,Octavia etc although can be extended to cover any vehicle where required, subject to pricing which would be available by request for non 1.4, 1.8 or 2.0 TFSI / TSI Models.

For 1.4, 1.8, 2.0 TSI and TFSI models:

• Carry out all of the basic and advanced health checks described above with the addition of:
• Compression test 
• Oil pressure test 

A more thorugh assessment of engine and drive train, with relevant diagnostics and logging. Still on a visual basis but  with the additional information from the oil pressure test and compression tests offer. 

This type of health check would be £150 inc vat, for other models please contact us with your requirements. 

There are various add ons we can offer, we strongly recommend sump pan removal and inspection for debris as this is often the best scenario for assessing engine condition (other than full removal, stripping and assessing). Debris in the sump pan will give a sure sign of engine problems and we can advise the best course of action earlier on before potential failures. On some models such as the 2.0 TFSI we would recommend the oil pump pick up pipe is replaced at the same time. This typically adds £150 inc vat to the health check chosen (Audi A4, A5 and A6 and some other models excluded please contact us for clarification) on the basis we re use existing oil, if preferred we have various options on new oils although we recommend the Millers Nano 5/40 which is £59.95 per 5 litres plus any required filters. 

TFSI models with non roller fuel pump followers we recommend checking / replacing. Typically adds £95 inc vat to the chosen health check and allows us to asses the condition of the old follower and cam shaft. 

Smoke Tests would add £20 inc vat to any health check chosen, or smoke test with high pressure boost leak check £35 inc vat

Disclaimer: It is important to understand any health check is fundementally on a visual basis only, and is limited to what we can see at the time of checking. It is surprising how quickly a vehicles condition can change, in as little as a few days and therefore there are no guarantees against sudden or unexpected failures, after any health check is completed. It would be impossible for us to be 100% sure on every aspect of the vehicle, we can only give a general opinion. The only way we could be more certain on things like engine conditions would be to remove the unit to fully strip and assess, which in most situations would be excessive. The same applies to most systems and components on any vehicle, you are accepting our terms and conditions with regards to health checks. There is no warranty or insurance against future failures offered as part of our health check program.
